Where my Lady
Where are you tonight my love?
Are you walking in the night,
Cloaked over fine linens,
Or dreaming sweet dreams in a feather bed?
Where are you tonight?
Where are you this morn my sweet?
Tending the fire at the hearth,
While baking the family bread.
Or drawing fresh water from the spring.
Where are you this morn?
Where are you as the sun pricks noon.
Are you sunning in the long grass
As Wind blows waves through the grain
Or bathing at waters edge waves lapping against you.
There are you at noon.
Where are you at dusk dear one?
Riding in a coach to meet me
Be it under the great oak or the old willow
Or reading of love by candle light.
Where are you at dusk?
Where are you tonight my love?
Are you walking in the night,
Cloaked over fine linens,
Or dreaming sweet dreams in a feather bed?
Where are you tonight?
